2016 Business Plan Ideas - Part 1

Wednesday, December 30th 2015 It's amazing how many things can change in a year. Normally at this time of the year, I have a lot of extra time to kill. Time to get organized, plan, think about the next year.... This year I am super busy. I am working on so many projects, I have so many quotes to work on, new customers I'm setting up, it's pure chaos and yet I feel more organized and productive than ever before. I am still working on my goals for 2016 as well as my business plan for 2016. Amazingly they're not exactly the same thing. I talked about goals on Monday, I think they're more related to personal dreams and interests. My business plan is more focused on business which will help me reach some of my personal goals. Here are some of the ideas I want to implement. 1.  Instead of just setting objectives for the year and then forgetting about them, I plan to review my plans every week. I have a meeting every Monday at 9:30 am, which means I'm home late

2016 Goals. Figuring out what's important to you will help you reach your goals.

Monday, December 28th 2015 I've been thinking a lot about goals and a business plan for 2016. I almost posted a blog early this morning about just that. I decided to wait and went to my only Networking group that is active this week. And guess what our topic was? You guessed it, 2016 Goals! I've found it  a little difficult for me to set up goals, as I don't have anything to measure against at this point, being that I'm at a new job. While, I still sell insurance and network, I have new responsibilities that I didn't have at my last job. Here's what I learned this morning. We need think about setting goals in a completely different way. Instead of just focusing on monetary goals, you need to think about what you want your life to look like in the new year. Picture it. Make a vision board if you're a visual person. If we set our goals by starting with what we want in our life, it makes it easier to work our way backwards to what we need to do to get the

Making lists and getting things done.

Sunday, December 20th, 2015 My husband is visiting his son in WV for a few days, so I'm holding down the fort at home. I have much to do today and need motivation to get it done. Here is my list. - Read about my job for tomorrow's Toastmasters meeting, so that I know what I'm doing when I arrive. (I do have my books out) - I brought home a folder of work that I started yesterday, but still have some to complete as tomorrow is going to be very busy with other obligations. - Starting/Finishing laundry would be nice. - Finish wrapping Christmas gifts. For the first time ever, I have wrapped as we bought or as packages arrived in the mail, but I let it go the past week and need to finish. - Some general light cleaning should probably be done, since this week will be short and all 4 of my kids will be here Christmas Eve/Day. - Going to the store this afternoon with my youngest daughter, Caitlin to help her with her last couple of gifts she needs to buy. - A quick trip

Everything happens for a reason

Wednesday, December 16th. Woo-Hoo 2 posts in days! How's that? Wednesday's are one of my crazy busy networking days. Since, my normal Wednesday morning networking group has a Christmas party/ happy hour this afternoon, I decided to go to One Million Cups in it's place. They didn't have their usual format today, instead they had a guest speaker; Christina Daves of PR for Anyone. I heard Christina speak at a Prince William Chamber event earlier this year or maybe last year and she was wonderful. However, hearing her for the second time really made what she was saying make more sense to me. It clicked more. Or maybe my life and my sense of self, has changed in a way that makes it click now where it didn't before. Either way, it's interesting how things happen in life. I truly believe that you end up exactly where you're meant to be at all times. Now I have more ideas to implement into my 2016 business plan. Ok, I'm off to my next networking event, Bus

2016 Resolution to blog...

Hi All, My name is Marie White and I am planning to write a blog for the next year to see what happens. Will I get followers? Will I have things to say? Will I keep up with it? How will it change my life in the next 12 months? I am super excited to see what the next year brings. This past year has brought about many changes, all positive. The biggest and best change was my job. I had worked at the same company for many years, but over time, the environment had just gotten toxic and taken a toll on me mentally and physically. I love what I do on a whole, but I needed to be around positive people who were on the same page that I am and who valued me. I was blessed to find that at Brock-Norton Insurance. I'm in my third month here and love it more each day. I am so happy and at peace, loving life more every day. In my personal life. I've been married for 6 1/2 years to the love of my life. We have 5 children between us. He has a 26 year old son: Zakk, my kids are: son, Andre
